One of the principle beliefs of St Catherine's College Boat Club is that rowing should be a sport that is accessible to all, regardless of financial background. We are one of the few remaining boat clubs in Oxford that does not charge subscription fees. As a result, we rely on the generosity of our donors, the college itself and the members of the rowing society to help our athletes achieve their potential.
Over the past few years, St Catherine's College Boat Club has had many successes in Oxford University events, such as Torpids and Summer Eights, and external regattas across the country. Members of the boat club have gone on to represent the University in the Boat Race, both openweight and lightweight categories, and compete at international level. Notable members include four time Olympic gold medallist Matthew Pinsent and two time Olympic gold medallist Andrew Triggs Hodge.
There are three main ways you can help support St Catherine's College Boat Club; either through corporate sponsorship, making a donation, or becoming a member of the rowing society. We also run a "sponsor a bump" campaign during Torpids and Summer Eights. Any support is greatly appreciated.
